Directions for using
the Harris County Flood Control District
  Hurricane Tracking 2008 software

 1. double-click your My Computer icon
 2. double-click your C drive
 3. create a folder called    Program Files ez
    a. Here's How
    b. after you have double-clicked your c drive in step 2
    c. click File then pick New then Folder
    d. you'll have it showing New Folder already blocked in
    e. just type Program Files ez   and press enter
 4. Click the X button at top right to close that now

 5. Click the link to download the program on the page
    you got these directions from, may have to click Back first

 6. When it comes up asking you where to save the file
    a. click the pull-down button at the right end of the Save In line
    b.  pick your c drive there
    c.   scroll down to the Program Files ez folder you made and double-click it

 7. Click the save button and the file will be place in Program Files ez

 8. To get it going and create your desktop icon;
    a. click Start then click Run then click Browse
    b. just like in previous steps, navigate to the
       Program Files ez folder and choose the new file there;
       named; HCFCDTracker2008.exe
    c. click Open then click OK
 9. The 2008 Hurricane Tracker will open and create a desktop icon
    for repeat use

10. To get rid of the program after Hurricane Season just delete the
    desktop icon and then delete the exe file from your Program Files ez folder.

11. In 2009 the new program will be released and probably work the same way.
